CMS Tracker Testbeam

From 25.11. to 8.12. the CMS Tracker Group tested prototypes of the so-called 2S modules for the Phase 2 upgrade of the CMS experiment in a test beam experiment at DESY in Hamburg. Our two PhD students Christian Dziwok and Tim Ziemons integrated "our" Aachen 2S modules into the setup and then successfully recorded many millions of events. The 2S modules have the possibility of on-board pt discrimination and are to be integrated into the CMS Level-1 trigger for operation at the HL-LHC. This concept was tested in the experiment by rotating the modules with respect a test beam. Now the exciting time of data analysis begins.
