ETpathfinder construction started

The construction of the ETpathfinder at Prof. Stefan Hild's institute in Maastricht has now really started, not only inside the hall but also outside on the foundations for the liquid nitrogen tanks. At our institute, a small group together with Institute 3A has started work on the Einstein telescope. We are starting with two bachelor theses dealing with the directional sensitivity of the Einstein telescope and the directional reconstruction of gravitational waves, and two PhD theses to study sensors and actuators for mirror monitoring and manipulation in cold conditions.
