Installation of the Double Chooz near detector completed

In the Double Chooz project we detect neutrinos from the nuclear powerstations in Chooz on the French-Belgium border. The experiment consists of two neutrino detectors. One is the near the cores (at about 400 m distance) and one is further away (a little more than 1 km). The far detector has been in operation since a couple of years. Now the near detector is also completed.
