July 5, around 4:47pm CEST, the LHC delivered to CMS and the other experiments the first pp collisions at 13.6 TeV in stable beams. CMS was fully prepared for this event, which officially marks the entry of our experiment into the LHC Run-3. A handful of seconds after the LHC switched to stable beams, all high voltages were set and the colliding data began to flow, greeted by an explosion of joy in the CMS control room.
