The LHC, the largest and most powerful particle accelerator prepares for the so-called Run II. The centre-of-mass energy will be increased from 8 TeV in Run I to 13 TeV in Run II, an energy range that was never studied before. This March the first proton beams are expected in the accelerator and our working groups can not wait for the new data to come. “With this new energy level, the LHC will open new horizons for physics and for future discoveries,” says CERN Director-General Rolf Heuer. “I’m looking forward to seeing what nature has in store for us”.
