Alumni Day RWTH

Originally, RWTH wanted to invite its alumni from all over the world to celebrate 150 years of RWTH by taking an exclusive look behind the scenes at Campus Melaten. It was to be a convivial open day with plenty of time to discover today's university and current research projects, but also to share ideas and spend some time with other former fellow students.

Due to the global pandemic, we had to forget about these plans in 2020. Nevertheless, in order to celebrate RWTH's 150th anniversary together, we have decided to invite you to a virtual experience exclusively available to alumni from October 9, 2021, to February 13, 2022.

On October 9, RWTH Rector Professor Dr. Ulrich Rüdiger will open Alumni Day, welcome you via live stream, and talk about the University's development. Afterward, you can discover research and innovation on Campus Melaten from home on the three themed routes: Energy & Mobility, Medical Technology, and Production Technology until February 22, 2022. Besides these glimpses of what is happening on campus, we will also be offering you the opportunity to take another in-depth look at your old faculty and take advantage of networking opportunities with alumni associations from the faculties. Central university institutions will also have exciting offerings for you during these weeks. Our institute will be represented in the themed route Medical Technology.

As part of Alumni Day, our institute is planning a virtual alumni meeting for all alumni, interested persons, and current staff and students on October 9, 2021. The meeting will be held using Wonder. Wonder is a video conferencing software that operates in common browsers.
