10 years LHC

On 30.3.2010, the Large Hadron Collider LHC and the CMS experiment started operation. The two institutes celebrated the event in the corridor with video transmissions from CERN. Prof. Hebbeker and Prof. Stahl were on television at WDR. To date, the LHC accelerator has delivered 192 inverse femtobarn collision data, of which the CMS experiment recorded 178 inverse femtobarn. Among other things, these data have led to the discovery of the Higgs boson. As of 29.3.2020 959 collider data papers were submitted.
