New Tier-2 storage and CPU resources

The Aachen CMS Grid team from the institutes Ib, IIIa, IIIb have finished the integration of new Tier-2 storage and CPU resources, connected to new network switches with 10Gbps port technology. In cooperation with our CMS colleagues from KIT in Karlsruhe and with help from the RWTH IT center, now a few hundred of CPU cores from grants at the RWTH HPC center can be added transparently to our own resources. At the moment a stress test with up to 2k HPC cores is running, together with our dedicated Tier resources 7500 CPU cores are being utilised by the CMS collaboration.
